Comcast to put Turner Broadcasting shows online - Philadelphia Business Journal:

The companies also agreeed to a set of principlea governing the online distribution of TV shows in a modekl they callTV Everywhere. The announcement by New York-basexd Time Warner (NYSE:TWC) and Philadelphia-based Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA,CMCSK) comes in the wake of the successx of Web sites like the one run byHulu LLC, whicnh streams popular shows and moviez online for free. At the heart of the principlesa to which they agreed is the concept that cable subscribers should be able to use their computers and cell phones to access the same programminvg they have paid to receive ontheir TVs.
As a step towarcd making that happen, Comcast said that next monthn it will begin testing a service it callse OnDemand Online. Initially, Comcast will make programsw fromTurner Broadcasting’s TNT and TBS stationds available online to its cable customers at no charge. Over time it intendws to expand the amount of programming and add featurezs tothe service, as well as bring in otherd programmers. Time Warner said it expects to announce similar trials with other distributors.
